WebLog Expert 5.8
WebLog Expert 5.8 Review
As in the case of websites, care must be taken to keep a note on all incoming internet traffic. This is done by keeping tabs on all visitors to a particular site in the form of log entries. WebLog Expert 5.8 is a tool that does just that. A fast and powerful log analyzer, WebLog Expert gives out the following information about the site to the user including site visitors, accessed files, path taken for the access, information related to search engines, browsers, operating systems and more.
Built on a user friendly interface, the log analyzer provides flexible filters to carry out deep analysis of visitor’ activities. Filters are also used to fish out particular site entry details that would be stored in individual log entries. For example, information about the users who accessed a particular page can be obtained.
Built in wizards help the user to create and analyze a profile. WebLog Expert can also analyze logs of Apache and IIS web servers. Reports are generated in an easy to read HTML format which would include both text and charts. Logs can be downloaded with the help of FTP and HTTP; reports can be uploaded via the same method or through emails. Support is provided for GZ and ZIP compressed files without the need to unpack or decompress them. Other in built features include DNS look up, scheduler, tracked file reports, IP to country mapping etc.
Some of the features of WebLog Expert include:
. Provision to run on all Windows operating systems of Windows 95/98/Me/NT/2000/XP and 2003 with support for Apache and IIS 4/5/6 logs.
. Filters for numerous functions including Hit filters for functions like status code, OS, browser, virtual domain and Visitor filters that contain information about visitors who entered the domain, and accessed a particular file.
