• Quick demo, user friendly and system environment : Learn to create 3D models and 2D drawings and how easy it is to design with the program. The Graphical User Interface allows quick and intuitive 2D/3D orientation. An intelligent cursor, numerous detection and selection modes, 2D construction lines, orthogonal grid are few of the tools which makes working with VariCAD easy.
• 3D Modelling & Tools : VariCAD provides a library of basic 3D solids that can be easily modified by editing the original profile or parameters. It also provides tools for assembly support.
• Crash Tests (Interferences) : Another interesting feature is component interference checking. It can check 3D assemblies for possible collisions between components.
• Calculations, Material Parts and Symbol libraries : VariCAD calculates 2D section area, surface area, volume, mass, center of gravity, and moment of gyration. For standard parts used on a daily basis by the mechanical engineers, a library of mechanical calculations is also included. It also includes library of standard mechanical parts such as nuts, bolts, pins, plugs, cotters, gaskets and so on. Items can be added to these libraries or existing parts can be modified. Non-graphical information can also be assigned to parts, such as type of material or supplier, which can be incorporated into an assembly and used for material requisitions, bills of materials, title blocks and other purposes.
• Surface development, 2D drawing and editing : VariCAD can created flat surfaces of 3D solids. Drawing functions are geared towards easy use in engineering.
• Printing and compatibility : Printing is highly customized with VariCAD. It can also interchange files with other CAD systems. The files can be converted individually or in batches, thereby allowing conversion of multiple files in just one step.
