Tranzcode 0.40 Beta, a command line utility that runs on Windows platform that is used to Transcode multichanel WAV files into MONO waves by a process of outputting the number of waves depending on the number of channels read from the WAV header. Tranzcode 0.40 Beta will also decode/ transcode .dts files (48KHZ) and DTSwav(44.1KHZ) directly into mono waves depending on the number of channels found.
Tranzcode 0.40 Beta DTS coding was made available using libdts from dtsdec source code.
Let’s see the processing in detail:
Multichannel Transcoding:
This can give Mono wav output. The output will be PCM and have the same bit resolution and sample rate as multichannel source wav. Multichannel Transcoding supports very large files that are >4GB including wave extensible format. Multichannel Transcoding also Supports 2-ch (stereo), upto 18 channels.
DTS Transcoding:
Transcoded .dts (48kHz) and DTSWav (44.1kHz) files into 32 bit float mono waves regardless of the bit resolution they were originally encoded with. The number of output mono waves depends on the number of channels read. There is also a down mix option (/S) to output a 16 bit stereo wav. It does not support DTS ES.
