POP Peeper 3.1 is an e-mail alerter that supports POP3, IMAP with Idle (AOL, AIM, FastMail, etc), SMTP, Hotmail, MSN, LiveMail, Yahoo, GMail, Mail.com, MyWay, Excite, Lycos.com, RediffMail, Juno, and NetZero. POP Peeper is known for its portability. You can take it anywhere by just getting it on a pen drive. It offers password protection, so that no one gets to read your mail using POP Peeper.  It also has an address book.
POP Peeper 3.1 allows viewing in HTML or rich/plain text for security reasons if you’re not sure about the sender. Several options are available to customise the way you’re alerted when a new mail has arrived such as sound alerts, flashing scroll lock, skinnable pop-up notifier, and a customized screensaver. The sound alerts can be set different for each account.
An optional SSL plug-in is also available for download which allows you to retrieve e-mail from POP3 and IMAP servers that accept secure connections. With IMAP’s Idle command, you will be notified of new e-mail as soon as it arrives in your inbox.
