Peanut Butter PC aims at helping the parents, grandparents, teachers and guardians of children above three years in simplifying the experience of letting the child use the computer. Therefore the software can be useful at home, pre-schools and other places where a child might have an access to the computer or may wish to use one.

Peanut Butter PC reduces the restrictions on a child and the learning process. It creates a child-friendly interface which provides space for the child to enjoy the computer while your files are safe.  In addition to this, it blocks: DVD/CD-ROM AutoPlay; Ctrl-Alt-Del; Alt-Tab (Program Switcher); Alt-F4 (Close Programs); Ctrl-Esc (Opens Start Menu); the Windows key; the context menu key; the windows task manager; keyboard multimedia buttons; Pop-ups on specified web sites; links to outside web sites. Peanut Butter PC hides the following: notification balloons; the application taskbar; the start button; the vista sidebar. It disables: the Shut Down command; the lock workstation option; the Password Change option; the Logoff options; the Switch Users command; and Optical drive Eject buttons. Peanut Butter PC makes printing an optional feature.
