Macrium Reflect 4.2 is a free data backup program. Macrium Reflect can be used to either backup certain files and folders or an entire PC. This backup can be later used to recover a whole partition or certain files and folders. If you worry about running out of storage space then you can backup in smaller increments which can fit your drive size. Macrium Reflect stores these backups as image files.
Image files created by Macrium Reflect can be stored on local or network drives. You also have the option of writing it on a CD or DVD. A Reflect Recovery CD created using the program will come handy in the event of a computer crash and loss of the operating system. This Recovery CD has a GUI version of a Linux Operating System that lets you retrieve the images from the crashed PC.
Macrium Reflect is not just about backup and restore. With Reflect you can resize and restore a partition of a different drive type on another drive. Incase you’re paranoid about your image being stolen you can even password protect it. Macrium Reflect offers automatic differential or incremental backups and an automatic disk space management tool for both local and remote hard drives.
