ImageBurn 1.0
ImageBurn 1.0 Review
ImageBurn 1.0 is a utility that is used to process an image and create two new images of the processed one. Providing suitable enhancements over the DVDDecrypter tool, ImageBurn 1.0 is able to process all files in the current directory except files with extensions a.overburn.png and b.histogram.png as these files indicate that the parent file associated with them has already been processed.
Successfully tested on Microsoft Windows (.NET 1.1 and 2.0) and on the Linux (Mono 1.1.13) systems, ImageBurn processes the file and creates two images of the file. One image is the over burned areas and the other image is the histogram of the original file. The over burned image file is mostly monochrome with color provided only in the area that is over burnt. This area is indicated by a red color.
Users can also make use of the context menus that appear on right clicking of options in the user interface. These menus provide advanced functionality by providing the user with context rich help.
In addition to burning double layer images of DVDs using the layer break option specified by the user in the IFO files, ImageBurn is able to calculate the best possible place for the user to store the files thus saving time and trouble.
The best thing about ImageBurn is that it can write most types of CD/ DVD images including provision of support for all the latest writers. Some of them would be: BenQ, NEC, Sony, LiteOn etc. Rewritable CDs can also be erased or formatted using this utility.
On encountering problems if any while downloading ImageBurn, the user is requested to stop the download manager running on the system and avoid right clicking of files which if done otherwise, may cause the system to freeze. The user is also asked to check the firewall settings on the system, as some mirrors of the tool may require the support of blocked HTTP referrers.
