HP Compaq Presario 1200 is a notebook computer system aimed towards small business as well as corporate businesses. It is set up to meet the needs of the business owner with little modifications, including offer the latest performance options.

Apart from offering L2 Cache Pipeline Burst Cache memory with an installed size of 512 KB the HP Compaq Presario X1200 also offers an installed size of 32 MB of soldered RAM, with a 160 MB max. It also offers SDRAM technology, SO DIMM 144-PIN form factor, and an IDE storage controller. The processor included with the HP Compaq Presario 1200 offers AMD K6-2 450 MHz with a data bus speed of 100 MHz. The storage options include a 1.44 MB integrated floppy and a 5 GB hard drive in addition to boasts one integrated CD-ROM with a read speed of 24x. It also boasts of includes Kodak PhotoCD, CD-XA, CD-DA, and Cdi compliant standards.
The software options included are McAfee VirusScan, Microsoft Word 2000, Microsoft Internet Explorer, QuickRestore, and Microsoft Works 2000 apart from one Cardbus type I/II/III expansion slot and one SO DIM 144-PIN memory expansion slot. HP Presario 1200 also has an HPA passive matrix integrated display type with a max resolution of 800 x 600 SVGA.
