Bart’s PE Builder 3.1
Bart’s PE Builder 3.1 Review
Very often there arises a need to test the systems we use which would include doing a virus scan, copying files to a network share for safety, or even performing maintenance tasks on the computer which would in the process require you to boot the files back into the computer. Clearly called Admin’s best friend, Bart’s PE Builder helps you achieve all of that and more with its extensive features that places it a step higher from similar products.
You can easily create a bootable CD-Rom or a DVD from Windows XP or Windows Server 2003 by the easy to follow graphic instructions, network support and FAT/CDFS/NTFS file support facilities which can easily replace any boot disk by Dos or any other company as a matter of fact. A point to be noted here is that Bart’s PE is not a Microsoft Licensed Product and does not create a Windows PE nor does Microsoft endorse the use of PEBuilder.
Why use Bart’s PEBuilder rather than the normal boot disk? Here are a few reasons why:
Easy access of very large volume of data not seen by BIOS.
Active Directory Support as well as remote control over the other machines using remote desktop.
BartPE has a graphical user interface unlike Windows PE which just has the command line interface in DOS. Bart PE also allows customized plug-ins which enable the users to follow simple instructions.
The best part of all this is that the tools needed to make a BartPE are free software unlike others like Windows PE which is available only to Microsoft users.
System Requirements:
. OS: 3.1 MB / Windows 2K / XP / 2003 / Vista.
. The files from your Windows Installation CD-Rom.
. CD/DVD writer for a bootable CD/DVD creation.
