Avira AntiVir Professional 9.0
Avira AntiVir Professional 9.0 Review
Developed by Avira Gambh, an antivirus that’s easy to use, effective and a wide variety of complementary features that would enable users all over the world, especially small to large scale businesses to benefit from its faster yet safer virus detection. All this is what Avira AntiVir Professional is.
The extensive facilities available with Avira AntiVir Professional make it a comprehensive antivirus program with all possibilities of a virus attack on the computer being completely blocked and reviewed. Within the system, it uses a faster search engine with AHeAD technology to protect the files against fast and unknown viruses, routine tasks like monitoring of file access with an on – access scanner are all automated and scheduled apart from which you can also request a manual scan, multi file scanning and caching through multi threading and a Root Kit protection option that enables to detect and remove malware. On the Network side, a Mail Guard scanner application ensures that all mails entering and leaving the system are free of viruses with an additional AntiBot option to check all email attachments. A Web Guard option routinely checks all the incoming and outgoing internet traffic for possible viruses or malware. In addition to this, the Aviva Security Management Center (SMC) administers the entire network. All these routine tasks and updates would take up just a small portion of space on the system rather than run it down with huge updates and quarantine files.
The newer version has some additional facilities incorporated into the earlier ones which include creation, administration, and assistance for each of several profiles, integration possibilities of Windows into the WMI system and support of Net Books.
Systems requirements would include:
. Operating system: – Windows 2K / XP / Vista / XP X64 / Vista64.
. At least 192 MB RAM (Windows XP or Professional).
. At least a 512 MB RAM, 100 MB would be required for additional temporary files and another 40 MB or
more would be required for the quarantine files.
